Software Mind was tasked with auditing and reviewing an existing CRM software that our client wanted to acquire, as well as the software development processes and infrastructure used for hosting this product. The project’s main goal was to assess the system’s current condition and recommend essential improvements after the acquisition. 

Client background 

Our client was an investor wanting to acquire a company that designed and developed an industry-specific customer relationship management (CRM) system used by large companies and family businesses.

Challenges

As the acquisition process was already underway, the time available for the audit was limited. Since time constraints did not allow us to perform a regular full review, the Software Mind team took advantage of an existing audit offer that was customizable according to the client's needs. After the deliberations, our team was able to define the most important areas to focus on and review critical aspects of the system in a given time. Since Software Mind is an experienced software audit company with a large talent pool, providing a required security expert for the audit in a relatively short time was not an issue, regardless of the technology.
