Our client faced the challenge of ensuring their financial management software and operations fully complied with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The Software Mind team, collaborating closely with our client’s operations and Finnish consultants, implemented GDPR functionality within the software, updated operational processes and achieved complete adherence to the regulation.
Client background
A leading Finnish software provider with over 20 years of experience driving growth for Nordic companies. They develop one of Finland's top cloud-based financial management software suites and are a key component of an international group that specializes in financial and HR services.
Goals
The project's goals centered on implementing core GDPR capabilities like data access, erasure, consent and security directly into the software. We also focused on strengthening disaster recovery and business continuity plans, as well as achieving full GDPR adherence, while maintaining strong market trust. Further objectives included minimizing business disruption through seamless process integration, providing customers with self-service data tools and ensuring a GDPR file vault for centralized records.
