Project overview
Our client, an operator of a travel booking platform, needed a single, central data source to replace their fragmented and diverse existing databases. We developed an on-premises data warehouse to process and structure this data for easier access and analysis. This solution now serves as the foundation for our client’s internal operations, by greatly enhancing data integration, analysis and the overall use of data in the company’s day-to-day operations.
Client background
A Polish company founded in 2013 that operates a travel booking platform specializing in offering hotel and accommodation packages at attractive prices. It combines both a reservation service and a travel magazine, providing travelers with ideas and deals primarily for destinations within Poland and abroad.
Goals
Our key objectives included introducing data governance principles and simplifying existing database structures. A major focus was on boosting data exchange efficiency and integrity by consolidating distributed business processes into a single, central system. A significant goal was also to deliver a flexible and scalable analytical and reporting environment for employees, notably by creating online reports using Tableau.
