Our client wanted to enhance their medical review service by modernizing their existing systems and creating an integrated, intuitive web-based platform that would make their offering more scalable and generate new revenue streams. Software Mind developed this new solution from scratch and created an improved, user-friendly interface which helps internal users efficiently review and manage drug test cases. Since the successful delivery of the platform, our cooperation with the client has expanded to the development of another system.

Our client is a leading provider of background check, drug screening and tenant screening solutions for a wide range of industries and company sizes.
Business goals
Our client wanted to modernize their medical review service, which has been one of their key differentiators in the drug screening industry. They tasked Software Mind with building a unified, highly scalable system that would enable dynamic scaling and support further business growth. This new platform aimed to streamline the drug screening process, automate data presentation across queues and cases and support our client’s approach to managing and verifying lab results.
Main challenges
When developing the new medical review platform, Software Mind had to ensure its full compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) by implementing strict quality and data security standards. Another challenge was to effectively enhance the user experience. To do that, we conducted workshops and interviews with end users (medical review officers and assistants) and their managers to understand pain points and gather requirements.
