Software Mind was responsible for designing a cloud digital transformation strategy and modernizing client’s technology stack by migrating to the cloud and restructuring its IT team. To execute this digital transformation, our experts designed and implemented steps for establishing a new IT team structure, embracing cloud technologies, and introducing a Cloud Center of Excellence. The updated work methods and training programs enabled the client’s teams to adjust to new technologies and acquire tools to tackle future technological challenges.
Client background
One of Central and Eastern Europe's largest, most influential media companies, operating in various entertainment sectors, including online, digital and traditional press, radio stations, cinemas, film production and distribution. They also have a strong presence in the publishing, advertising, and food service industries.
Main challenges
Software Mind redefined and transitioned old and new roles within the team, clarified responsibilities and objectives, conducted extensive training programs for technical teams to prepare them for the latest cloud-based environment, and delivered a detailed document describing the new IT team structure. We also enhanced the skills of the technical teams through a comprehensive training program and ensured smooth adaptation to the new structure. Our team participated in deploying intelligent tools to support communication and proactive technology management. Finally, we established a virtual Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) team, covering Architecture, Development, and Operations, based on the 80% (development) / 20% (operations) principle.
