Ramping up an Agile team to expand a global Internet of Things (IoT) platform

To handle increased responsibility, Software Mind swiftly grew the team from three specialists to 20. This involved providing three Agile development teams to develop the client's IoT platform and migrate data from an acquired system. The case study does not specify how the onboarding for these teams was managed.

The primary goals were to develop the client's IoT cloud-based platform further and to migrate customer data and features from a newly acquired system. This also involved merging the two platforms, including enhancing reporting, streamlining data processing, adding a machine-safety verification feature, and reworking the user interface.

The project used Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and GCP IoT Core for its cloud infrastructure. The backend was developed using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and the Java Persistence API, as well as Node.js. For the user interface, which was redesigned for a more consistent appearance, the team employed Angular.
