Project overview
The project began with the development of the CFC Cyber Incident Response application, which provides users with a variety of cybersecurity features. The app, which offers a tailored threat intelligence feed, cyber alert notifications and an Ask the Expert functionality for direct communication with CFC agents, has a mobile version for customers and a web platform used by the CFC customer support team. Since CFC was happy with Software Mind’s early work on the CFC Cyber Incident Response app, our partnership has been steadily growing in scope, with our team collaborating with CFC in more and more areas. The successful development of the CFC Cyber Incident Response app enabled Software Mind’s expanding team to develop a white label mobile app solution, add more functionalities to the CFC Cyber Incident Response app and create a new, web-based system for managing insurance subjectivities.
Client background
CFC is a UK-based company that has been solving some of the biggest challenges of the insurance industry for over 20 years. CFC’s solutions include a global cyber trading platform and a wide range of commercial insurance products for various sectors. A pioneer and market leader in mitigating risks, CFC makes underwriting smarter, simpler and faster by giving brokers tools to streamline their work and helping customers and their businesses stay safe from cyber dangers.
Business goals
CFC wanted to create a frictionless and user-friendly design for the CFC Cyber Incident Response app. This would require equipping the app with advanced cybersecurity tools that would be available on both Android and iOS devices. Additionally, CFC aimed to develop a white label solution that would be capable of generating several branded apps.
Main challenges
One of the biggest challenges associated with this project was maintaining high cybersecurity standards that comply with a heavily regulated market. The goal to release all white label mobile apps simultaneously was also a daunting task, as was the implementation of automated testing that would streamline long-term mobile app management. A final challenge was creating multiple themes for a white label solution.
