Project overview

To take over from a supplier, ensure product development continuity and help define a modernization strategy.

Client background

A Norwegian software company – part of group that provides financial, payroll and HR software solutions – that specializes in cloud-based ERP and CRM systems.

Goals

Our client turned to us to help them transition from an outgoing supplier, which meant transferring knowledge while meeting a tight deadline – without impacting delivery continuity. Initially, our support centered on taking over the work on products already in progress and developing new functionalities on existing products.
Our team also reinforced the application team responsible for time-tracking and project management. Later, our scope was expanded to include support for architectural and solution decisions, as well as to conduct a technology audit and help define a modernization strategy.

Results

Operational independence

All project development and knowledge transferred from the supplier to the client before termination of work.

Uninterrupted development

No delays to ongoing projects or deviations from product roadmaps.

Long-term partnership

A short-notice handover turned into a deeper cooperation which expanded in scope to client’s key strategic goals.
